  • Yearbook 6: Higher Teacher Education Institutions in Arab Countries

Coordinator: Dr. Samir Jarrar

The project aims at giving descriptive, comparative, evaluative and analytical studies on higher teacher education institutions in a number of Arab countries. It especially deals with the following themes: the programs and curricula of higher teacher education institutions, their links with in-service teacher training, role of teacher training faculties in higher education, higher teacher education institutions and educational development, and educational research and dissemination of educational knowledge in teacher training faculties.

The papers dealt with theoretical frameworks, the reality of teacher training in the Arab World, and presented analytical and case studies. The Lebanese Association for Educational Studies is currently in the process of publishing the proceedings of this conference in the form of its Sixth Yearbook.
